Funding is finally in place for a new £5.9m language centre in Gloucester.
The facility - part of a regeneration plan for the city's Blackfriars area - will offer diplomas to 14 to 19-year-olds from December 2011. (Sourced from BBC News.)
The county council said student numbers were expected to rise from an initial 190 a year up to 830 a year.
The bulk of the cost is being funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families, with the remaining expense being met by other grants.
